We are a homegrown Vex Robotics Team based in Cary, North Carolina. We have four members: Arjun, Avi, Chetan, and Chaya.
History
Arjun and Chaya were the original two members of the Robogearheads, when they competed as a Vex IQ team as far back as 2015. Avi joined the team two years later in 2017, during our last season competing in Vex IQ. Chetan, our newest member, joined in 2019 during our Tower Takeover season.
What We Value
Our overall goal as a team is to gain, apply, and improve upon our knowledge of STEM and Robotics through the annual Vex competitions. Our yearly goal is to win the North Carolina State Championships, and earn a chance to compete in the Vex World Championship. We also aim to give back through our community, which we do through starting and coaching our Vex IQ Team.
Arjun
About Me: I am a Sophomore at Green Level High School and I enjoy building things, hiking and playing sports. I was one of the first members of this team and I have been doing robotics for almost 7 years now. I love the aspect of building and testing our robot because of the critical thinking and problem solving it requires. It is really fun and rewarding to see our robot work and perform well at competition.

Avi
About Me: I am a Sophomore, and am currently attending Enloe High School. I enjoy playing sports and video games. I love both the educational and competitive aspects of robotics – it’s great to learn and apply STEM concepts through our robot, and then test it out during competitions.

Chetan
About Me: I am a sophomore, and am also attending Enloe High School. I am the newest member of the team, and joined at the beginning of the Tower Takeover season. My favorite part of robotics is programming. Apart from robotics, I enjoy watching Netflix and playing football.

Chaya
About Me: My name is Chaya, and I am currently a freshmen in high school. I was also one of the 1st members of this team, I’ve been doing robotics for 7 years also. What I love about robotics is the fact that we get to build something complex and fully functional from scratch, it’s fun to watch the robot come together and overcome the adversities. Apart from robotics, I love playing basketball, and I’m also in Scouts.
